Easy to install

The first step is taking off the original cover. This has to be removed before the new cover can be put in place.
After removing the old cover, you can use a flathead for prying the four main attachment clips from the passenger side of fob assembly. These are marked in red on the image below. Also note the tabs that locate slots, which are yellow, that must be removed as well.
After removing the battery, replace it with a brand new # CR2032 3 volt coin cell battery. Make sure that the "+" positive side of the battery is pointing to the opening of the fob and that the -" negative side is facing the rubber buttons.
Reattach the mirror's passenger side cover by aligning the locating tabs. Once you have completed this, put the fob that is on the driver's side back in your vehicle and test it by pressing the button on the front of the car key. If everything works correctly, your car should activate the parking lights and the doors will lock automatically.
